What is “A Bookish Affair”?

This immersive event is a 21+ celebration of bookish culture and the romantasy genre. Our great hall and grounds will be decorated taking inspiration from our favorite books, along with custom built props. 4 Open bars, food, themed games and photo-ops are all included in the ticket price. It is a chance to drink, dance, and revel with friends old and new. Become the heroine in your own story.

What can I expect?

As avid readers and fans ourselves, we know what we want in a party. With a decade of experience hosting themed parties we know how to make it happen.

Food
Light hors d’ouevres, snacks and desserts will be piled high on tables in the great hall. Allergy friendly options will be provided on a separate table.

Games
Themed games and a scavenger hunt have been designed and built to entertain you throughout the night when you need a break from the dance floor. Each game won enters you into our drawing for prizes. Play as much or little as you prefer.

Vendor Hall
Be it a charm, hex, knick-knack, or bauble our vendor hall has a variety of specialty sellers. Our current partner list can be found here with more being added soon.

Drinks
4 open bars on the grounds will be serving specialty themed cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, spirits and mead. Some offerings are from our local partners at Iron City Distillery, Local Remedy Brewing and Nektar & Vine Meadery.

Music and Dancing
From baroque period pieces to bangers during the dance contest our DJ will be spinning all night to keep the vibes and energy going until the end. Steve has the night off.

Shuttle Bus
The Axtar Express will be available at ticket purchase for a small fee. It runs every thirty minutes from the Pittsburgh Mills to our location. This makes parking easier and to lets you focus on enjoying the night.
